Sad But True

South Padre Island,in Texas  Located in the tip of the border next to the Gulf of Mexico and the Laguna Madre Bay in Texas,is a little tiny Island name “South Padre Island”.  How tiny?  It’s only ½ a mile wide and 34 miles long and does have three campgrounds on the island that are on the beach or bay.

A missionary priest back in 1804 Jose Nicholas Balli first settle here and later came the Spain’s King Charles IV who decided to claim it for his own. Ever since then people have made this little tiny place more then it really is.  Though,I would have to say that it’s actually the best beach Texas has to offer.  :(

Yet,every young blood goes to South Padre Island during Spring Break which if you’re over the “Let’s Party” scene, then I strongly suggest DO NOT go near South Padre,Island as its anything but peaceful and relaxing during spring break.  I was there a year ago during Spring Break and swore I would never go back.  Yet,here I go again, only should be better this time around since there won’t be any spring breakers, which btw –“breakers”is the perfect word for them.

So why even put South Padre Island on by blog when its dedicated to the best places to travel?   G-d only knows.  Perhaps because it’s close to home and I am planning to be there in a few weeks and looking forward to getting away and relaxing on the beach even though it’s not a fabulous beach. Sad,but true, though I do strongly believe that a bad day at the beach is much better then any day at work.
